Ascension Day Hike in Baarn, 9km through Baarnse Bos and Landgoed Groeneveld

On Ascension Day, we're going hiking! Join us on Thursday, May 9th, for a 9km walk in and around Baarn!

In the Netherlands, it's a tradition to go hiking on Ascension Day, making it the perfect day for our next hike. We'll start at 10:30 am from Baarn station and hike through vast forests and beautiful estates, such as the Baarnse Bos and Landgoed Groeneveld.

Do you think about joining, but you're not sure what this is about? Well, Utrecht Hiking Community in collaboration with UR-Glocal aims to organise one hike per month. If you're in for a hike with a bunch of friendly other people, you are very welcome to join, no matter whether you are an expat, professional, nomad, local or a student. The hikes are a way to meet people while being active and exploring a place you might not be going to otherwise. If your aim is to hike fast, we might not be the right hiking group for you though. For us it's more about having a fun walk, seeing nice places and socialising.

Don't forget to put it into your agenda: Thursday May 9th, 10.30AM - hiking time! 😀 Bring good walking shoes, your phone/photo camera, something to eat/drink for on the way and a good mood! Dogs are allowed on this route, but should be on a leash.
