8km walk in Utrecht, along Vecht River, Slot Zuylen, Fort a/d Klop and Overvecht

Hi all! I know it's a bit short notice, but upcoming Saturday I'd like to go for a nice 8km route along the Vecht River in Utrecht. The route will be starting at Shoppingcenter Overvecht and passing by Fort aan de Klop and Slot Zuylen before returning back to the starting point.

Meeting point will be at the entrance of Shoppingcenter Overvecht, at the side of the C&A, and we'll start our hike at 10.30AM. Please try to arrive in time.

For those coming by car, there's plenty of free parking places around the shopping center (address for navigation: Seinedreef 40). For those coming by public transport, there's also many buses going to the shopping center. The Overvecht train station is a bit further away - from Utrecht Central Station it's better to go by bus.

For those who haven't joined any of Utrecht Hiking Community's hikes before: we're usually organising one hike per month in or around Utrecht and open for everyone to join: locals, expats, tourist, students, professionals, experienced hikers, beginners, couples, groups of friends and people alone. We aren't going for fast hiking, but rather for social hiking. You can see it as a way to combine being active, exploring places and walking together with like-minded people.

I know I'm posting this event on quite short notice and probably many of you are spending the Christmas time elsewhere, but still I hope to see a nice group of hikers on Saturday.
