Hi my name is Marcus and i'm an Englishman living in the beautiful Black Forest region of Germany.
As much as I do love where I live, I do miss a bit of good old English conversation and my job here generally gives me lots of free time from October until May and a few weekends in the summer.
So I have started this group for people interested in hiking, socialising and weekends away.
The Black Forest region of Germany is a great destination and I want to share it with you.
My plan is to host weekends here in Germany for small groups of eight members. I will arrange everything for you other than your Flights.
Accommodation, Airport transfers and three fun filled days of hiking, walking and relaxation.
You will get the chance to sample great German beers and wines and also the tasty local fare.
We have a great thermal spa in the area so if you wish to be like a German and strip down to your birthday suit please feel free :) however as an Englishman I like to keep fully clothed and spend my evenings in the local pub.
All fitness levels are welcome and my hikes and tours can be suited to all fitness levels.
Flights into Basel Airport are cheap with the low cost carriers and I will be there to collect you on arrival and bring you safely back for your departure.
Accommodation here is cheap and you can have your own room in a fully equipped shared two or three bedroom apartment for around 28 - 30€ per night.
