We will discuss George Eliot's “The Mill on the Floss" - Book 1 through the end of Book 4

Summary: Brought up at Dorlcote Mill (in approximately the 1820's and 1830's), Maggie Tulliver worships her brother Tom and is desperate to win the approval of her parents, but her passionate, wayward nature and her fierce intelligence bring her into constant conflict with her family.
