Update: The weather forecast for Thursday is not great. I plan to show up regardless of the weather, unless it's a really bad storm. But, since it might be raining, I will not be perturbed if anyone fails to show up, even after RSVPing. I don't want to make anyone hike in the rain if they don't want to.

Waterton Canyon is administered by Denver Water. Information on the area is available at https://www.denverwater.org/recreation/waterton-canyon-strontia-springs-resevoir

This hike has very little elevation change and is basically a dirt road with almost no motor vehicle traffic, just occasional park maintenance vehicles. It is an out-and-back hike. My plan is to go about 2.5 miles, then turn around and head back. The Waterton Canyon Trailhead Parking is about 200 feet or so north of a building called the Kassler Center. The street address of the Kassler Center is 11338 Waterton Rd, Littleton, CO 80125, if you want an address to put into GPS. I have been told that bighorn sheep are sometimes seen along this trail. I have only hiked here once before and I did not see any sheep. But, maybe we'll be luckier. I plan to be in the parking lot at 9:15 and begin the hike at 9:30. I'll be driving a gold Toyota Corolla.
