Details
By signing up for this hike you acknowledge that hiking includes inherent risks. You also agree that you participate at your own risk and are solely responsible for your safety.
Meet in Visitor Center parking lot. We will hike the Legacy Trail to Lake Mary, the Prairie Trail along Lake Ladora, the Lake Mary Loop, then back via the Legacy Trail to the Visitor Center. Approximately 4 miles. Very little elevation gain. I plan to be in the parking lot by 9:45 am and begin the hike at 10:00. I'll be in a gold Toyota Corolla.
The Visitor Center address is 6550 Gateway Rd, Commerce City, CO 80022.

If you've never been to the Arsenal before, there is a loop that you can drive after our hike that takes you through the area where bison can often be seen. Driving the wildlife loop takes about 45 minutes or so. Last time I drove it, a herd of bison slowly crossed the road all around my car. It was pretty cool. Of course, the area where we will be hiking does not have bison. A fence separates the wildlife loop drive from the hiking trails.
