We will meet at the South Valley Park North Trailhead in Jefferson County. From 470, take exit 10 at Ken Caryl. Go west about 1/4 mile, then Valley Road southwest for a little less than a mile. Trailhead is on the left.

We will take the Coyote Song Trail to the South Trailhead, then return via the Swallow Trail to the North Trailhead. Depending on weather and trail conditions, there are a couple of out-and-back spurs we might explore. These are the Lyons Back Trail and the Grazing Elk Trail. The entire hike should be between 4 and 5 miles and have no more than 600 feet of elevation gain.

I plan to be in the parking lot by 9:45 and begin the hike at 10:00. Look for my gold Toyota Corolla.
