Flying J — Shadow Pine Loop Trail

Meeting Place: Flying J Ranch Park, Shadow Mountain Access at 27323 Co Rd 78, Conifer, CO 80433. The parking area is about 400 feet northwest of Mon Petit Academy located at 27071 Barkley Rd., Conifer , CO 80433.
This hike is about 5 miles with only about 570 feet of elevation gain. It is a lollipop route (an out and back with a loop on the end) and should take about 2 hours, maybe a little more. This trail is new to me, so I will experience it for the first time with you. The descriptions I have read say that it is mostly through the trees with plenty of shade.
I plan to be in the parking area by 9:15 to begin hiking at 9:30. Look for my gold Toyota Corolla.
