#### Rather than a traditional spooky haunted house, this unique autumn tradition is designed to enlighten rather than frighten.

#### The key features of the event include:

• Costumed Storytellers: Local actors and docents dress in period clothing to portray the "residents" buried in the cemetery, bringing the history of notable and notorious Atlantans to life through live theater.
• Atmosphere: Guided walking tours take place after dark, illuminating the cemetery's stunning Victorian gardens and monuments by lantern light.
• Festivities: The event features live musical performances, craft beer, artisanal cocktails, and seasonal items at the store. Guests are also highly encouraged to attend in costume.
• Historic Residents: While the route changes every year, past tours have shared the stories of diverse historical figures, ranging from notable political and cultural leaders like author Margaret Mitchell, golfer Bobby Jones, and Mayor Maynard Jackson, to everyday citizens with extraordinary life stories.

• Your ticket time is your entry time NOT your tour time. Your ticket time reflects the time you will be admitted into Oakland Cemetery. Once inside, you’ll have time to get a drink and use the restroom before getting in line for a tour.
