Safe Spaces is for those who seek a safe and supportive environment in which they can openly share their personal aspirations and challenges. In Safe Spaces we meet to share our stories. We put it out there. In so doing we receive support from , and inspire others with similar stories.
Our sessions are structured. We begin and end with meditation. We share our stories, support challenges and acknowledge success. There is an optional open discussion at the end.
The core tenets of Safe Spaces are:
Confidentiality: What is said in the room stays in the room.
Respect: Each of us has an innate human dignity that is worthy of respect.
Openness: We encourage you to share your experiences. We respect your silence.
Nonjudgmental: We aim to support and acknowledge you as a human being
Safe Spaces is experiential learning in it's approach and does not provide any therapeutic advice or service
Admin fee: R20pp to defray expenses. Cash paid at the venue
The venue will be selected to be central to attendees.
