This year’s summer film series at the Briscoe Western Art Museum celebrates 60 years of "Spaghetti Westerns" Join us at the Briscoe to see the Good, the Bad and the Ugly on the big screen.
A short presentation begins at 1:30 p.m., followed immediately by the screening. Movie is included in general museum admission, with complimentary beer courtesy of Ranger Creek Brewery, water, soda and movie snacks. Pre-registration with an online museum admission ticket purchase is encouraged to save your seat.
Movie Synopsis: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly follows three gunslingers – Blondie (the Good), Angel Eyes (the Bad), and Tuco (the Ugly) – as they navigate the chaos of the Civil War in search of a hidden cache of Confederate gold. Each man has part of the puzzle that leads to the treasure, forcing uneasy alliances and inevitable betrayals along the way.
With sprawling battle scenes, razor-sharp tension and one of the most iconic musical scores in film history, the film weaves together action, wit and commentary on the futility of war. Released in 1966, it is widely regarded as a masterpiece of the genre and one of the most influential Westerns ever made.
