90s Shakespeare at Black Potion

## Hello, SA Movie Lovers!

Sunday, May 24th, Movie Daze's 90s Month continues with a double-feature celebrating Shakespeare through two wildly different late-90s classics.

6:00pm – Romeo + Juliet (1996)
Baz Luhrmann’s stylish, chaotic adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy transforms Verona into a neon-soaked modern battleground starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. Loud, romantic, tragic, and bursting with 90s energy, this remains one of the most distinctive Shakespeare adaptations ever made.

8:10pm – 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
Inspired by The Taming of the Shrew, this beloved teen comedy stars Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in one of the definitive high school films of the decade. Funny, charming, and endlessly quotable, it somehow gets better every time.
