I Play Rocky

I Play Rocky dramatizes the true, underdog story of a struggling, unknown actor named Sylvester Stallone who writes the screenplay for Rocky. Refusing to sell his script unless he is allowed to play the lead role, he fights impossible odds for his chance to play the role of a lifetime.

Directed by Peter Farrelly, the film follows the tumultuous and inspiring production behind the 1976 classic. The official plot synopsis highlights Stallone's unshakable belief that he wasn't just meant to write the movie, but that he was meant to be Rocky Balboa. Betrayed by circumstances and told "no" at every turn, Stallone ultimately bets everything on himself to bring the ultimate underdog story to the big screen.

The film also spotlights real-life figures from the making of the movie, featuring Anthony Ippolito as Sylvester Stallone alongside a supporting cast that includes AnnaSophia Robb as his wife Sasha Czack, Stephan James as Carl Weathers, and Matt Dillon as Stallone's father.

This film opens in select theaters November 6, 2026. Date of this meetup is subject to change.
