Let's boldly go where no one has been before (sort of) and watch a unique double feature, featuring a classic episode with the original crew paired with the very first Star Trek feature made for the big screen.
As part of a 60th anniversary series, this presentation will feature Star Trek: The Motion Picture along with fan favorite, the exciting season 2 episode, "The Changeling". For those who have wondered about the similarity of the premise of each of these, now we get to see them back to back...on the big screen.
For those new to the federation, you're in for a treat.
What made the Motion Picture so special for fans was that the original series had been canceled ten years earlier, and live action Star Trek was considered a thing of the past, with only conventions and a short-lived animated series keeping the fan-base fed. Then, a decade later, with a bigger budget, and thanks to Star Wars, much better special effects, the franchise made a huge comeback, and has been with us ever since.
