Whalefall Sunday Matinee

Driven by grief, a young diver named Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) goes diving off the Central Coast of California to look for the remains of his deceased, estranged father.

During the dive, Jay gets caught in the middle of a massive battle between a giant squid and a sperm whale, resulting in him being sucked into the whale's stomach.

Trapped in the pitch black, claustrophobic belly of the beast, Jay is left with only one hour of oxygen in his scuba tank before he suffocates or is digested.

To survive the impossible ordeal, he must rely on his inner determination and push through his emotional trauma by utilizing the harsh, intense underwater survival lessons his father taught him throughout his life.
