Join us for the Seattle Astronomical Society monthly talk series, where we get together to talk about astronomy, featuring trivia and a speaker from the field.

In person at Stoup Brewing in Capitol Hill (find us in the upstairs mezzanine) and available via Zoom through seattleastro.org

Our speaker this month is: **This month is great for beginners**
Troy Carpenter, Director of Goldendale Observatory where he'll talk about "How far we've come" over the past century in our understanding of the cosmos.

Originally from upstate New York, Troy has spent over a decade as the administrator of Goldendale Observatory, where he’s been guiding visitors through the wonders of the night sky. Before that, he ran an energy technology training center in Philadelphia and lectured at colleges and universities on photography, astronomy, and energy economics. His early career began in the world of broadcast television—back before streaming changed everything.
