Lake Vrynwy…..the other side

We explore the East side of the Lake which is a new walk for Pathfinders. After meeting outside the toilets at the dam bridge we head south-east to Llanwddyn then a sharp left towards the Lake Vrynwy hotel following footpaths well away from the road. After passing by the front of the hotel we pick up the Pererindod Melangell Walk to Ffridd Fach before returning towards Ffridd Cynon Isaf in true Pathfinders fashion using little-used paths. We can promise fantastic views all day and a mix of hills, streams, quarries, woodland and a couple of short stretches of slightly boggy terrain. A total of 8.75 miles and 1,100 feet of ascent.
