Hill fort, Monument & castle 3.8 - 4.4 miles

Parking for this walk is at Maldwyn Way carpark off the B4385 in Montgomery SY15 6RD. Should be room but can park in town centre or around this area. This is a short walk but very interesting as we will visit 3 historic sites. Start by walking out of town then up through trees to a hill fort. Then to a lane taking us to a path up to a monument on a hill with views. Returning down path to visit Montgomery Castle which is free to get in, where we will stop for a break. Bring nibbles as this is a lovely spot to eat with views over the Montgomery. Then down road back to town centre and a drink, there is some hills to climb but not to bad. Will not rush and take our time 😁👍
