Golden Valley, Ratlinghope & Gatten from Pulverbatch

Approx 13 miles of glorious Shropshire Countryside. Starting from Church Pulverbatch we head up to Wilderley Hill, a fairly long gradual ascent. Along the Portway and down the delightful Golden Valley. A shortish steep climb up Ratlinghope Hill, we then descend to the Gatten via the site of Farmer Phil's Festival. A gentle climb up and over into the Gatten Valley. Returning to Pulverbatch along a quiet lane, bridleways, and footpaths. A very scenic walk with spectacular views. We'll stop for a picnic lunch along the way and should be able to enjoy a pint at one of the local pubs after the walk. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead. Please note, this is a 9.30 start.
