Llanerchydol, Y Golfa, Figyn Wood and Frochas

Details
Another chance to enjoy this walk which we scheduled for the first time earlier this year.
I think it will be lovely with the Autumn colours. Approx 10 miles. We start from The Raven Inn in Welshpool. A gorgeous walk through Llanerchydol Country Estate with the typical scenery of huge trees and small lakes as we make our way via Glyndŵr's Way up to the high point of Y Golfa. This involves a couple of miles of gentle ascent. We will pause to enjoy the scenery. From Y Golfa, we have panoramic views in all directions. Next, we head over to Graig wood, belonging to The woodland trust, a bit more uphill before a fairly steep descent through Figyn Wood. Leaving Glyndŵr's Way, we continue through the countryside up Harriets Hill (a short but fairly steep ascent) back to The Llanerchydol Estate and return to The Raven Inn for a well-earned pint. There is a bit of road walking, some tracks and fields. As always, dogs are welome but must be kept on a short lead at all times. Please note, we may have to climb a wire fence if Powys Council haven't repaired the bridge which I reported 6 months ago. (I will try to find time to check).
