Pont Llogel to Pont Robert along the Vyrnwy
Details
Please don't be put off by the mileage on this walk, it is very picturesque with plenty of variety. A beautiful 14-mile walk from Pont Llogel, following some of the Ann Griffiths Walk and Glyndŵr's Way. Starting from the car park at Pont Llogel we walk alongside the river Vyrnwy for a short while before heading off to Allt Dolanog Hillfort with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. We then descend to continue along the river to the village of Pontrobert, returning on the opposite side of the river back to Dolanog where we can view the Dolanog Waterfall. We once again cross the river to make our way back to the start. A bit of a climb up to the hill but nothing too strenuous. The Autumn colours will make this a very pretty walk. Following well-defined paths, although there are some fields to walk through so good waterproof boots will be needed. Please arrive by 09.15 to be parked and ready to set off promptly at 09.30. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead.
