Ironbridge circular walk including the Rotunda Steps. 8 Miles.

Start of the walk is from the Legges Way car park, Madeley, which is adjacent to Madeley police station, Telford.
The route follows the Silkin Way down to Coalport crossing the river by the Woodbridge Inn. We then head towards Ironbridge along the Severn Valley Way, passing Jackfield and eventually crossing the river again via the Ironbridge.
We carry on along the Wharfage, turning right up Lincoln Hill towards the Rotunda Steps. The climb up the steps is very steep and uneven so take your time, it’s not a race!
On reaching the top we will stop to catch our breath and have a lunch break while admiring the views.
The route then heads towards the outskirts of Madeley and eventually decends down to Rough Park Way where we turn right and head back towards the Silkin Way for the last half mile back to the car park.
Please note that the Rotunda Steps are very steep so a reasonable level of fitness is required, not suitable dogs.
