Brown Clee Hill including Abdon Burf, Clee Liberty & Clee Burf
Details
Another chance to enjoy this beautiful walk. Approx 9/10 miles, moderate. Starting from the Roadside Parking area, we will walk up to Abdon Burf, the highest point in Shropshire (540 m, 1771 feet), a gradual climb which will possibly/probably be muddy in places. After reaching the summit we will make our way across heathland to Clee Liberty Common, descending to the hamlet of Cockshutford. Then climbing back up to Clee Burf via Nordy Bank Fort. Returning to the start point via Boyne Water along woodland tracks. The ascents are gradual so not too taxing on well defined paths. If the weather is kind, the views are beautiful with plenty of interesting points. Please wear suitable footwear and attire for this time of year. Dogs are welome but must be kept on a short lead.
