Llantysilio Mountain from Ponderosa Cafe

Starting from the car park opposite the Ponderosa Cafe the route is 9.7 miles with around 1,800 feet of ascent. The first two hours is mainly ascent with some sections being quite steep, but we’ve allowed time to take things at a pace to suit all. Once we reach the trig at Llantysilio Mountain things become much easier with mainly flat or downhill walking along with the odd undulation, giving fabulous views the whole day. The 9:30 start is to ensure enough parking space in the limited (free) parking area.
Dogs allowed provided they’re kept on a short lead at all times, particularly as the route includes a number of fields full of sheep.
