This walk is a favourite one of mine. It's a delightful mix of farmland, woods, pretty villages and the beautiful Badger Dingle with it's pools and waterfall. We will be meeting in the car park of the Smokey Cow pub in Beckbury. We are combining this walk with Ads Ventures. We will make a detour to have a look and walk through a 15metre long tunnel, which was dug out of sandstone. We will see a summerhouse/rotunda. There are fallen trees along the way which we can step over or walk underneath. It might be muddy in places. Therefore the wearing of walking boots or similar sturdy footwear is recommended. A walking pole might also come in handy in a few places. There are a few short slopes to walk up and down with one long steep slope of around 200m long to walk up. There are no more than two stiles to climb over. A good torch would be recommended on this walk.
There maybe horses in one of the fields.
All dogs will have to be kept on a short lead at all times. This is for the safety and comfort of everyone.
We have got permission to park in The Smokey Cow pub car park Beckbury. There will be a few of us going for a drink in The Smokey Cow after the walk and you are very welcome to join us if you can.
