Sheriffhales Walk
Details
This is a walk that Pam and I have not done with Pathfinders but is a good walk nonetheless, It is 5 to 6 miles easy because Pam is getting closer to her op and I do not want to overtax her with a long arduous walk. It starts at the Sheriffhales village hall (TF11 8RA) with parking right by the primary school and some overflow parking in the nearby side roads. Car-sharing is encouraged of course and dogs on a lead please. We will stop by the butter cross for a short break where tradition demands we sacrifice a vestal virgin so volunteers please on a postcard etc. The walk is not difficult and involves country paths and lanes. Sherifffhales is just off the A5 near Shifnal where we can return for a post-walk drink at the taverns there unless someone knows of a tavern close by which suits.
