The world-famous gardens of Hampton Court Palace include 60 acres of spectacular formal gardens and 750 acres (304 hectares) of parkland, all set within a loop of the River Thames.
Join us for a lovely walk through the marvellous gardens, make friends, share ideas, take a break from the mundane and spending days inside your home.
We will be exploring the beautiful Hampton Court gardens,
All year round, Kitchen Garden grows fruit and vegetable crops that fed the Georgian royal family in the 18th century.
The gardens come to life in spring with over one million flowering bulbs in the Wilderness and a riot of colour in the formal gardens.
The plan for the day:
1. We meet at 10:20 at Clapham Junction train station to take a 27 min ride to Hampton Court
2. Meet and greet the group, make sure everybody is here.
3. Get on the train - arrive at our destination and take about an hour or two to wander around.
4. Head to the Palace coffee shop for some drinks, and snacks (I recommend bringing food with you - berries, nuts, bananas, sandwiches, and water).
5. You can also dress nice if you wish to take nice pictures with the lovely gardens in the background :)
6. We are buying an Off-peak return ticket, therefore the walk will be relaxing with no particular rush of getting back at precise hours.
Take a nice camera, a backpack and join us!
