30's Ladies Isabella Plantation Visit

Details

Let's visit this beautiful London Botanical garden together!

The Isabella Plantation is a beautiful 40 acre woodland garden set within a Victorian plantation established in the 1830's. First opened to the public in 1953, it is best known for its evergreen azaleas, which line the ponds and streams and are at their peak of flower in late April and early May.

Located in the gardens are the National Plant Collection of Wilson 50 Kurume Azaleas (introduced to the west from Japan in the 1920's by the plant collector Ernest Wilson). Extensive collections of Rhododendron, Magnolia and Camellia, plus many other unusual trees, shrubs and herbaceous plantings ensure interest to hundreds of thousands of visitors all year round.

Join our group to find likeminded people, network, talk, discover together and have a good time in a good company!

The plan for the day:

1. We meet in front of the gate off Kingston Hill on the south east side of the park at 11:30. Check this article for more information on how to get there:

https://www.royalparks.org.uk/visit/parks/richmond-park/isabella-plantation#getting

2. Make sure you pack some food for the day (sandwiches, berries, water, nuts, fruits). We might stop for a little picnic at some point.

3. Enjoy the beauty of the garden, wander around, getting together closer to 14:30 to head back home.

Walking and talking is a great mean of making friends, proven by all the other events I organised to date :) Therefore, don't shy away, RSVP and make sure you un-RSVP if you changed your mind giving the spot to attend to another person.

See you soon,

Lumi
