Teaching your dog tricks is a rewarding experience for both you and your dog. There’s no right or wrong — only a whole bunch of fun! Trick Training can help build a better relationship and stronger bond with your dog.

Play dead or Go to Sleep
Over/Under
Peek a Boo and much more...
For those who wish, we will help you work towards achieving the new AKC Trick Dog title. At the last class you will have the opportunity to be tested for this title.
Tricks Class runs for 6 weeks beginning September 7, 2019. Our modular format, allows new students to join at any time (as space allows - reservations are required), to take breaks as needed, and resume more advanced sessions when ready.
Class Every Saturday at Whaley Park, 5620 E Atherton St, Long Beach, CA 90815, USA (map)
Members can pop in for a class at their leisure for $40 per class. If you want to make this your regular training session, we offer 6 session group training package for $180, which allows you to participate in a variety of classes.
Bring water for you and your dog, as well as treats or a toy that motivates your dog
For your first class, please complete and submit our Online Registration and Participant Release of Liability ( https://caninelearningacademy.com/registration/ ).
***We use scientifically-proven, positive reinforcement methods to train your dog. We are proud to never use fear, pain, or force. We believe that training should be fun, humane, and effective; that’s why we’re a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP). All dogs must be on a harness/collar and leash. ***
Class Policy:
- Dogs that are not friendly toward people or other dogs must schedule a private consultation before attending class.
- Dogs must be up-to-date on Bordetella vaccinations/titer, DHPP and Rabies vaccines.
- Local animal care and control agency licensing requirements
- No females in heat (credit will be moved to the next class)
- No prong, chain, or shock collars in class.
- Children and family members are welcome!
