What we’re about
Do you play Soccer already but not getting enough passes from the team ? Or you lose the ball too easily? Or you never played soccer before but always wanted to try?
This meetup is suitable for complete beginners, people who haven't played since high school, and those with intermediate skills who want to play for fun without being too serious.
We want to play and develop our skills together in a fun, casual game for beginners especially but all levels are welcome.

Beginner soccer at Balmain Road Sporting Ground Thursday Evening (Casual level)
Timbrell is closed until Feb next year, so we are moving to Balmain Road Sporting Ground.
We will have a game of up to 6-a-side.
This game is suitable for beginners, players who have passed their peak, or just need to rebuild their fitness.
Please check on Thursday afternoon if are in the final attendee list.
You can still come if you are on the waitlist, however you will ONLY get a game if we have a no-show, no guarantees!
An announcement will be made one hour before the event if we have to cancel because of the weather, or the council closes the ground.
Canada Bay Field Closures
If Timbrell has been closed we will move to another location.
At all other times we shall try to be at Locations G1 to G5, look for players wearing light or dark shirts.

Beginner soccer at ALGIE PARK Sunday Morning
algie park, 195 Ramsay st, Haber field, New South Wales, AUTimbrell has been closed for renovations and will remain closed for some time.
An announcement will be made one hour before the event if we have to cancel because of the weather.
You can also check the Canada Bay Council website to see if they have closed Five Dock Park.

However, every 6 months a $2 donation will be asked for help to pay for the subsrciption costs.
You will still get to keep on playing whether you donate or not, it is only a request.8 attendees
Beginner/Intermediate soccer @ Tempe Reserve!
Tempe Recreation Reserve, Holbeach Ave, Tempe, NS, AULet's play beginner/intermediate casual soccer at Tempe Reserve; they have a variety of pitches and it's waiting for you to have a game there. Meet at the synthetic field area. There will be one game (early ones) on the left hand side of the synthetic field. And another behind (for later ones) on the grass fields. Each around 30-40m wide. There's plenty of free car-parking around, and it's also a ~15min walk from Wolli Creek Station.
Please note:
- We'll play from 4pm. Sign up properly, don't come if only waitlisted, and arrive on time or not long after or you will have to wait before playing.
- This group is for beginner and intermediate levels only and we play respectfully. If you're advanced, this is not the group for you. Go find some other group to play with.
- Only come if well. Bring plenty of fluids, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat etc as appropriate.
- Downtomeet and Meetup are the main sources of truth for my soccer events. While we also spread the word on the Social Soccer in Southern Sydney and Banter Facebook page, no other groups or chats should be relied on.
- If you have a soccer ball and/or pump, bring them along to ensure that we start relatively soon after the advertised start time. Also bring along a dark shirt and white shirt (NO GREY NOR BROWN) for even teams.
- This is generally a free event - once in a blue moon we'll seek donations to help keep the group going or pay for goals, but this will be disclosed if so.
