Community Drum Circle
What is it ?
We meet together and drum in a circle, which invites Shamanic Journeying by each of the participants. We start with a brief Overview, to establish a common understanding of how to play together.
We then alternate periods of free-form drumming, with periods of focused exercises. Although these focused exercises are simple enough for anyone to master, when they all sound together, the Total is greater than the sum of the parts.
We expect that our free-form drumming will improve as we embody the principle of the focused practice.
What to bring ?

• Bring a drum or percussion instrument, if you have one. We have plenty extras, if you don’t.
• Bring a pillow if you like to sit on the floor.
• Bring your favorite beverage of choice, and finger foods to share. (We’ll break in the middle, to allow time to get acquainted.
