About us

For ambitious Aucklanders who are done waiting for the "perfect" time to build real wealth.

This group is for working professionals who are earning well, but don't yet have a clear plan for turning that income into genuine long-term wealth. If you've got money sitting in the bank waiting for the "right moment," a KiwiSaver you've never really looked at, or a vague sense that you should be doing more with property or investment funds โ€” you're exactly who this is for.

We're run by Diamond Property and Wealth, a licensed financial advisory firm founded by Maria Temnyuk and Craig Johnson. Since 2016, we've helped households across New Zealand build balanced, resilient strategies across property, investment funds, and KiwiSaver โ€” not a bet on a single asset class, and not the recession-freeze mindset that keeps most people on the sidelines.

## We're done waiting for the economy's permission.

"Fortune favours the brave." โ€” Ancient Roman proverb
Recession. Interest rates. Unemployment. Migration slowing down. If you've been waiting for the headlines to feel better before you make a move with your money, you're not alone โ€” but that day may never come.
Here's the truth: we've had it much worse than this before.

A flat market is normal. It is not a crisis. The people who build real wealth are not the ones waiting for the perfect market. They have a plan - and they keep moving forward with it.

This event exists to give you a straight, honest look at the economy and the market fundamentals โ€” what's genuinely pointing toward recovery, what isn't, and our interpretation of it โ€” so you can make a clear-eyed decision about your own next move.

### What's Your Financial Dream?

Walking away from work in your 50s. The day your last mortgage payment clears. Knowing your kids won't grow up with the same money stress you did. Whatever yours looks like, it isn't out of reach โ€” it's a plan away.
Only around 5% of New Zealanders ever retire with a multi-million-dollar portfolio. Not because it's unattainable โ€” because most people never see how it's actually done. That's what this morning is for.

## Your roadmap to a seven-figure future

We're holistic advisers โ€” we don't shoehorn you into one type of investment because it's what we sell, or what's trending. Property, funds, KiwiSaver: real wealth is built on balanced, resilient strategies that stand the test of time, not a bet on a single asset class. That's exactly why this event covers it all.

### Property Investment, Done Properly

  • Aurelie Le Gall, General Manager of Fletcher Living, on where Auckland's next wave of growth is actually coming from โ€” backed by their own research, not guesswork โ€” plus a promotion available only to people in this room.
  • A look at Fletcher Living's beautiful Auckland developments โ€” genuinely good value, at prices that won't stay this reasonable for long.
  • Leon Da-Silva, DaSilva Residential, on turning property into personal wealth from nothing โ€” and why he's betting big on Hamilton, a market with a 0.5% vacancy rate and standalone homes still changing hands from $779,000. As one of Hamilton's largest developers, having delivered homes to more than 1,000 Kiwi families, he has a front-row view most people never get.
  • Our own house view as financial advisers: when property investment actually makes sense, how much deposit you really need, and what to avoid โ€” plus the opportunities and risks hiding in the next five to ten years.
  • Real case studies โ€” real numbers, real properties, real price points.
  • If you have equity in your own home, you might already qualify to purchase an investment property for less than $150 a week. Your car payment is probably higher than that.

### Demystifying Investment Funds

  • While the world worries about an "AI bubble," geopolitical tension, and the cost of living, hear directly from a SuperLife fund manager on how they're actually positioning portfolios through it โ€” and bring your own questions about what's keeping you up at night.
  • We'll showcase real historical fund performance โ€” including funds that have delivered double-digit returns. One of our most popular funds has returned 13.41% p.a. after fees and highest tax โ€” meaning $100,000 invested 10 years ago would be worth $352,000 today, without adding another cent.
  • You can set up an investment account โ€” for yourself or your kids โ€” in under 15 minutes, and start contributing from as little as $50 a week.
  • Passive vs. active investing โ€” and which one actually serves you.
  • Think you don't have much to invest? Learn a simple but powerful trick that shows you exactly what it costs to waste $10,000 a year.

### The Live Modeling Session: Watch the Numbers Change in Real Time

Step behind the curtain of the investment adviser world. We'll take a real couple's actual numbers โ€” a combined income of $200,000, a $500,000 mortgage, and $60,000 between them in KiwiSaver โ€” and map two futures side by side, live, in front of the room: where they're headed if they keep doing the same thing, versus the trajectory we built for them, which ends with a multimillion-dollar investment portfolio.
Same income. Same starting point. A completely different outcome, built step by step so you can see exactly how each decision along the way changed the destination.

### Plus

  • The lies we all tell ourselves about investing โ€” "I need to pay off my debt first." "I need a bigger emergency fund." "What if I lose it all?" And our favourite: "I'll start later." Plus, the mistakes quietly costing people millions: clients who invested based on mood averaged 4% returns, versus 10% for those who stuck to a strategy. We'll break the math down so simply that once you see it, you can't unsee it.

You will not be asked to buy anything on the day. No pressure, no hard sell in the room.

## Is this you?

  1. You have $500โ€“$1,000 a month you could be investing โ€” and no real plan for where it should go.
  2. You're a working professional. You don't have an MBA in finance, you don't trade meme coins and options, and you don't want to watch the markets for hours a day.
  3. Your household is bringing in a six-figure income โ€” you're earning well, you're successful โ€” yet you still don't know how to turn that income into a multimillion-dollar investment portfolio.
  4. You're time-poor. You don't have hours to spend researching markets, developments, and funds yourself.
  5. You've thought about early retirement, or becoming mortgage-free โ€” and want to know what it would actually take to get there.
  6. You're hoarding your savings in the bank, waiting for the "perfect" time to act โ€” while that cash quietly loses its purchasing power.

## Meet your speakers

Aurelie Le Gall โ€” General Manager, Fletcher Living Aurelie is GM of Fletcher Living, one of New Zealand's leading residential construction businesses. With two decades of leadership experience across residential and property, operations and recruitment, she brings a strategic, people-focused approach to delivering high-quality housing. She's widely recognised for championing women in construction, and for spearheading BUILDhers โ€” New Zealand's first all-female-led residential build.

Leon Da-Silva โ€” Managing Director, DaSilva Residential Leon is a residential property developer and builder with more than 25 years' experience across the full development cycle in New Zealand. He started on the tools in 1999 as a 17-year-old, went independent by 2003, and founded DaSilva Builders in 2006 โ€” rebranded DaSilva Residential in 2024. The team has delivered homes to more than 1,000 Kiwi families, with a track record spanning Hamilton's growth cells, Rototuna, Horotiu, and Auckland projects including Ormiston Central.

Thom Bentley โ€” Head of Business Development, SuperLife Thom leads growth and distribution of SuperLife's investment solutions, with a particular focus on ETFs. He brings more than 35 years' experience in investment management, including senior leadership and client-facing roles with global asset managers in London.

Maria Temnyuk โ€” Financial Adviser & Co-Founder, Diamond Property & Wealth Maria isn't coaching from a distance. Before co-founding Diamond Property & Wealth, she was a single mum with $85,000 of consumer debt, no savings, and a half-a-million-dollar mortgage โ€” she knows exactly what it feels like to want the lifestyle before you've built the wealth to support it. She turned that around, paid off the debt, and built an investment portfolio on track to let her retire in her early-to-mid fifties. Since 2016, she and co-founder Craig Johnson have helped households across New Zealand turn six-figure incomes into genuine seven-figure net worths.
