* 1st meeting was rough. I've paid zoom fees, so we won't crash. I've updated rules to be more accommadating. My apologies for not being more sensitive about harm from zoom bombers. I will do bettre at screening. And I will have group members turn off cameras when allowing in people who are late. I've expanded the purpose of the group to include ALL ways humans are at risk of extinction.

Accoring to the Tech Bros, we are at rist of human extinction. Don't be misled by the title, this group is for Skeptics. This is a group for people who don't believe in woo-woo. We don't have all the answers. There are a lot of unknows out there. There's also a lot we do know. I recommend the following podcast. It's The Diary of a CEO and the episode is A Debate with A.I. I'm open to broadening the discussion to Climate Change and other ways humans are at risk. This threat of Super Intelligent A.I. is what prompted me to start the group, but we can broaden the topic to other threats. I'd like to end each group with jokes. It's a heavy topic and I'd like to end on a positive note.
