Murals in the 20s, Saturday afternoon edition

Details
To quote myself from the version of this walk that we'll first be doing on Thursday the 18th (posted right before this one),
One day, between a bus ride back from Ardmore and a walk up to Fairmount, I came across some very intriguing murals in the area New Yorkers would call "the 20s." Even if that label isn't geographically accurate, I figured at the time that scheduling our next mural walk on the 20th in the year 2025 would insured that the event title still worked. :)
I then explain why I decided to break out of that container I'd put all of us in and lead the additional version on the 18th before concluding with the thought that "both [events] can be followed by food and drink in the area with whoever is free and interested. We'll see how this experiment works!"
I should add here that, having taught two or three sections of the same college or graduate course in the same term, and for many terms, I've found the corresponding sessions to be rather different experiences due to the personalities and preferences of the people involved, not to mention the time of day.
Here's our revised-after-walkthrough itinerary:
Reach High and You Will Go Far, 1926 Arch Street (which is basically on 20th Street :))
Cloud in Your Teacup, 2000 Cuthbert Street (though the 20th Street side is a construction site, so we'll probably need to walk to the 21st Street side, which can be seen in the photo; the mural is a block long!)
Coming Home, 2042 Arch Street
Point of Triangulation: Intersection of Identity, 21st Street at John F. Kennedy Blvd
One World (Reenvisioning), just south of 2100 Market Street, near the corner of 21st and Ludlow Streets.
Mapping Freire, 2110 Market Street
Strength In Our Bonds, 2300 Market Street
The People’s Harvest, 60 N 23rd Street
The Philadelphia Design Building (Restoration), 2300 Chestnut Street
Wild Tuscan Lilies, 123 S 23rd Street
Shadow of a Church (Restoration), 2205 Walnut Street
The Phillies Mural, 24th & Walnut Street
Summer Rendezvous, 2000-02 Sansom Street, above Shake Shack
On another note: If any of you are interested in attending the Tuesday "Nights of Co-creation" at renowned artist Meg Saligman's new studio at 225 Church Street (we talked about this at the last event), just show up (the times are 5:30-8:30 and sometimes later) or contact me at karenk19750@gmail.com or karena2220@yahoo.com for more information.
