Murals in the Teens, Saturday Afternoon Edition
Details
While it's still (probably?) not too cold, let's get out and see some more murals, this time from Broad--as a former New Yorker, I have trouble with there being no 14th Street :)--to 19th, hence the "Teens" reference. Here's a tentative list, which is almost surely overambitious, but I'll revise it after a walkthrough:
Antes de la Iluvia (Before the Rain), 1525 South
Art Sanctuary, 628 S 16th
Declaration, 150 N Broad
Fantasy Landscape, 1642 Pine
Films Shaped by a City, 1412 Chestnut (but actually on Sansom between Broad and 15th)
Legendary, 1415 South St
Ride the Sky, N 17th St & John F. Kennedy Blvd
The Stage, 302 S Hicks
Suburban Sun, N 16th St & John F. Kennedy Blvd
Take Up Space: Going Beyond Boundaries with Women in Technology, 1915 Arch
Tranquil Lotus, 227 S 18th
Tribute to Edward "Chick" Davis, 1412 South
Unifying the Cultures of Neighborhood in Philadelphia, 15th Street between Arch and JFK Boulevard
Untitled (mural by Steve Powers, aka ESPO), 1728-40 Sansom
Untitled, 1800 Market
Uplift Justice, 1429 Arch
Wall of Hearts, 1617 South
After we've reached a point of diminishing returns with the above, we can go out for food/drink if people are interested.
