Happy Hour at the Independence Beer Garden with the Old and New in Town Group

Sorry for the delay in posting this event following my announcing it on
First Friday...

This is the first of three happy hours planned at the atmospheric
Independence Beer Garden located on the west side of the Mall (talking
about art is optional, :) though I'd like to plan a New York day trip next
month for Chelsea gallery-hopping and High Line walking, and it would be
great if I could gage your interest in that). It's huge (20,000 square feet!) and
conducive to large groups, who can just show up! Therefore, having an
exact count to give testy restaurant management and staff (see: Royal
Boucherie :)) isn't necessary, though it would be great if people could keep
their RSVPs current so that those of us able to be there on the happy hour's
early end--it goes from 3:00-7:00 on Wednesdays through Sundays--can
stake out enough space.

By the way, there should be no problem with staying as late as you want
after the happy hour menu stops being available at 7:00 (provided it's not
past midnight, :) when the venue closes on Fridays).
