New Date: Final Beer Garden Event of 2026 (with the Old and New in Town Group)

[Note: Due to a sudden and unexpected family obligation, Sokona needs
to move this event from Saturday to Sunday.]

Later this month, the Independence Beer Garden is scheduled to close until
the spring, so we're fitting in one last get-together there. I myself will only be
attending in spirit, as this is probably not the best place to be with a broken
foot, but Sokona has graciously offered to host.

The first time we went here, we found a table, one of the longest in the
entire beer garden, near the wall on the southernmost side, where both the
fire pits and the restrooms are. On that wall, in addition to those hanging
wood decorations you can see on the left side of the photo, is a sign saying
"First Federal Bank," or something to that effect. We decided that this table
would be "ours" for all three of our happy hour events, but the second time
we were there, it was part of a large roped-off event, so we chose another
table of the same extra-large size nearby and perpendicular to the first one.
So let's say that everyone will meet at one of these two. :)

Once again, it would be great if people could keep their RSVPs current so
that those who are able to be there on the happy hour's early end--it goes
from 3:00-7:00 on Wednesdays through Sundays--can stake out enough
space.

If you'd like to stick around after the time the meetup technically ends, or
even after the happy hour menu stops being applicable, based on past
experience, I can say that there should be no problem...
