Over their career, Elder have matured their way of writing songs, moving from a more Stoner/Doom style, with a strong predominance of guitar, to a more Prog one, with long and complex compositions, to the more recent phase with the fully introduction of Synth and qualified by a cleaner sound.
Nick DiSalvo, the main songwriter, counts bands such as Colour Haze and Dungen among his main influences.
