Hidden Camel Trail in Showka

# The Camel Trails are the lower, flatter trails which are unmarked and thus have no crowds in the Showka area

This trek is great for beginners with no hiking experience who may be unsure of their fitness and stamina for a longer trek with more ascent and descent. We will be walking on the lower unmarked trails in the Showka Hils where there are few crowds and lots of beautiful scenery with Camels meeting us along the way if we are lucky!
MORNING TREKS: The advantage of a morning trek is that you will enjoy the cooler hours of the morning before the sun heats up the ground until around 9:00 am and no crowds at all!. But it will mean an early wake up!
AFTERNOON TREKS: The sunsets are spectacular! if you don’t like early mornings, join for the afternoon timings, when we will witness a spectacular sunset over the purple mountain range surrounding Showka. Our speed will be slower during the first hour of the trek as we adjust to the heat.
This hike will take you first up through the lower unmarked trails of Showka. The hike will be varied with a gentle paced walk, and a steady climb around the hills. This is a great trek to test yourself walking on the uneven trails to see if you are ready for the next level.

This hike is in a very popular area called Showka with many marked trails and hills. Just an hour from Dubai deep in the mountains, scrambling around the rocks and wandering the hills for the afternoon reminds you how much fun the great outdoors is.

Any fitness level will enjoy this hike and its also great for kids!

The hike can vary between 2.5 to 3 hours, around 5 KM

Do you need an off road car to reach the start?
There is a parking lot just off the main highway, an off road car is advisable to go into the wadi on the gravel. We will meet on the tarmac road and combine into the off road cars.
Do we need our own cars?
You will need to arrange your own transportation or carpool in the group.
