Join me weekly for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome. We don't pry, do readings, or critiques, so feel free: no one will see what you've written. This session is about making room for yourself and building your relationship with your work. Hopefully also, to build a few friendships with like-minded and not-like-minded writers along the way.

Bring your preferred writing tools. Bring cash or card if you want to buy water, coffee, other, or food. My table should have a small yellow sign indicating SU&W.

When you show up, please feel free to grab water or whatever and say hello to whoever is at our table. Bathrooms are nearby. As you settle in and get your writing tools ready, we'll take some time to get to know each other: What kind of project are you working on? Having you been writing long? That sort of question.. When we're all ready, I'll set a timer for the duration of our quiet and focused writing session.

Once the session timer completes, we can stay a bit longer to talk about whatever surfaced during the writing session, if anything. We can talk about our successes and challenges as writers, curious interests, or if you don’t have time to stick around, that's ok too. It will be lunchtime by then and most of us may get hungry!

NOTE: We don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to work on their craft privately while being in good company. No one will read or critique your writing.
