A Superior Adventure!!

Details

Join us on this 5 day and 4 night adventure to one of the most beautiful wilderness parks anywhere in North America - Lake Superior Provincial Park!!

Do you like hiking along trails leading to magnificent vistas high atop a cliff; incredible waterfalls; a diversity of wildlife including moose, bears, deer, caribou, and wolves; and Appalachian Mountain-like terrain all along the most impressive of all the Great Lakes - Lake Superior?? Then this is the trip for you!!

We will meet on Wednesday evening at the Agawa Bay Campground where we have reserved campsites which we will use as our home base for adventures. The great thing about this campground is that it is right alongside of Lake Superior for swimming, or just sun bathing and relaxing!! We will then venture out on various day hikes to explore this vast park via the Trans Canada Highway which goes right through the park. Hikes will vary in length from 2-8 miles at a moderate pace with breaks, but some of the trails are demanding. For this reason, previous hiking and backpacking experience is needed.

We will have limited space on our campsites and are trying to fit 3-4 tents per site so ONLY bring a small, backpacking tent for yourself. You will also need all your own food, water, and supplies that you would take on a camping and day backpacking trip.

We will have a potluck dinner on the Thursday evening around the campfire, so please fill out the Google Sheet with your contributions.

Since there are only 12 spots on this trip, please send your payment of $ 35 USD, per person, to T Brent as soon as possible to guarantee yourself a spot. You can Paypal the money to him at paypal.me/thomasheilig1, or Venmo at https://www.venmo.com/u/Thomas-Heilig When sending the money, please send it to "friends and family" to avoid fees.

**One vehicle is included with each campsite permit and we have three sites reserved. Additional Vehicle Permits must be purchased for all other vehicles. We recommend that people carpool, which will save money on gas, bridge tolls, and additional vehicle permits.**

To enter Canada you will need a valid passport or an enhanced driver's license. Please check to see if your phone plan will work in Canada.

We look forward to seeing you there for this unforgettable experience!!
