Hiking in the CVNP - Everett Trailhead and the Riding Run Trail

Let's go hiking this spring!
Now that there is daylight well into the evening, I am moving these hikes to weekday evenings.

Come hike the Riding Run trail with us! This is a 4.4-mile hike.
Trailhead Address: 2370 Everett Road, Peninsula, Ohio 44264

ROUTE DIRECTIONS
*****You will have a few creek crossings on this route - please plan accordingly.*****

• 0.0M Through the Covered Bridge and continue straight towards the Perkins Trail.
• 0.2M Turn left onto the Perkins Trail.
• 1.2M Continue straight - the trail on your right is a shortcut connector trail.
• 2.5M Continue straight - the trail on your left is the shortcut connector trail.
• 2.7M Cross over old Everett Rd (the road has been removed). You will then turn right onto Riding Run Trail. You will pass an awesome old tree on your right at about 3 miles.
• 3.6M You will come down a steeper hill. Be careful with your footing! At the bottom of this hill, turn right and cross over Everett Road and continue on the trail along Furnace Run.
• Remain on Riding Run back through the Covered Bridge to the trailhead.

One last note - Perkins Trail is no longer an official trail name. It has been combined with Riding Run. We left Perkins in the guide as we are not sure if the trail signage has been updated yet!
