Hiking in the CVNP - Lock 29 Trailhead and the Towpath Trail

Let's go hiking this spring!
Now that there is daylight well into the evening, I am moving these hikes to weekday evenings.

While this is a flat trail, the pace will be a little faster so we can finish before it gets dark. Please bring a headlamp or flashlight just in case it gets dark before we finish the hike.

Come hike the Towpath trail with us! This is a 6.7-mile hike.

***If the Lock 29 lot is full, park just down the street in the overflow lot.

ROUTE DIRECTIONS
This is a great hike to enjoy hanging out afterwards. The route actually has a way to come up off the Towpath to reach The Winking Lizard on the way back. They are open until 9:30.

• 0.0M From the parking lot take a left onto the Towpath and enjoy a walk down to Hunt Farm.
• 3.3M Turn around and come back.

• All hikes are dog friendly and must be on a leash.
