Hiking in the CVNP - Salt Run, Lake and Cross Country Trails (Pine Hollow)

Come hike the Salt Run, Lake and Cross Country Trails! This is a 6.4-mile hike.

Trailhead Address: 5465 Quick Road, Peninsula, Ohio 44264
***Do not park at the trailhead by the lake. That's the wrong trailhead.
ROUTE DIRECTIONS

• 0.0M From the Pine Hollow parking lot head towards the Salt Run Trail (west).
• 0.1M Enter the forest and continue straight on Salt Run Trail.
• 0.7M Stay left on the Salt Run Trail (right turn is the short-cut trail.)
• 1.3M Continue straight on Salt Run (left turn is the connector to Akron-Peninsula Rd.)
• 2.2M Continue on Salt Run Trail (intersection is the opposite end of the short-cut trail.)
• 3.1M Stay left towards the Lake Trail.
• 3.2M Turn left on the Lake Trail and across Kendall Lake dam.
• 3.9M Turn left turn Cross Country Trail (4-way intersection.)
• 5.7M Stay right and continue on the Cross Country Trail.
• 6.0M Turn left and up the big hill - we call this the “Sound of Music” hill. Down the hill and back up another to the Pine Hollow parking lot.
