Kayaking - Chippewa Lake and The Village Inn

Come join us for a little fun in the evening after work.
Boats of all lengths are welcome and encouraged to join this event. There are no boat rentals available. That means you must bring your own gear to this event.

The Plan:
Launch from the main boat ramp parking lot.
We'll explore the creek and lake then head over to the Village Inn for post paddle beers and snacks.

A bit about Chippewa Lake:
Among the largest natural inland lakes in the State of Ohio, the 325-acre Chippewa Lake was created some 14,000 years ago by the melting of massive glacial ice sheets as they retreated north. In recent history, the lake served as a playground for generations of visitors to storied Chippewa Lake Amusement Park, which closed its doors in 1978 after 100 years.

The Village Inn will be our post paddle destination for food and libations. It also makes a great "Plan B" if the weather goes sideways.

Time:
Meet at 5:30 for launch at 6:00.

Boat Launch:
7916 Westfield Landing · Medina, OH

1. A PFD must be worn at all times.
2. Register your boat if you haven't done so already.
3. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
4. Paddle at your own risk.
5. This event is weather permitting. Please check this page the day of the event if the weather questionable.

There is a possibility for socializing after this event.
