Hiking in the CVNP - Canal Exploration Center

Come hike the Towpath and Hemlock Creek trails with us! This is a 5.5-mile hike.

ROUTE DIRECTIONS
This route takes you on the newest trail in our national park - Hemlock Creek. This is an all-purpose paved trail. There isn’t a parking lot near this trail. Canal Exploration Center is the closest place to park and gives you an opportunity to visit one of the CVNP’s visitor centers.

• 0.0M From Canal Exploration Center, take a left on the Towpath Trail (north).
• 1.1M Turn left on to Hemlock Creek Trail.
• 1.5M Cross over Stone Road and start going uphill!
• 2.8M You will reach Brecksville Road. Turn around and head back to Canal Exploration Center.

• Group will meet at 6:00pm and will start hiking shortly thereafter.
• All hikes are dog friendly and must be on a leash.
• All hikes are dependent on the weather. Please check for updates in the morning before the hike.
