Kayaking the LaDue Reservoir
Details
## Details
Come join us for a little fun at La Due Reservoir.
Boats of all lengths are welcome and encouraged to join this event. There are no boat rentals available. That means you must bring your own gear to this event.
The Plan:
Kayaking the west side of LaDue Reservoir gives you a very different feel from the east side — wider water, long open views, and quiet meandering shorelines that are especially good in spring when water levels are higher. The west side is also where you’ll find the main public boat ramps and the most convenient access for launching. (see launch info below)
### 🌅 What the west side is like
The west arm of LaDue is broader and more open than the east, with long, gentle curves and marshy inlets. A paddler report notes that the southwestern side meanders through areas best explored in spring before lily pads thicken in summer. Wildlife is abundant — beaver, muskrat, and bald eagles are all noted as regular sightings.
Time:
Meet at 12:00am for launch at 12:30am.
The Boat Launch:
We will launch from the smaller boat launch on Rt 44. There is no address and this is the best I can offer: LaDue Reservoir Boat Ramp,
01-708903, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. See the map in the photos.
9Q9F+F5 Chagrin Falls, Ohio (Google Plus code)
(This is not the main parking area where the little boat rental place used to be)
