What we’re about
Manchester Stoics meet informally to chat about the relevance of the Ancient Greek and Roman philosophy of Stoicism, and its modern interpretations, to the way we live.
We find inspiration in the writings of the pillars of Stoicisms – Epictetus, Seneca and Marcus Aurelius – and others but we are not academic philosophers.
The group was started by three strangers in November 2014 after meeting via the online forum of Stoic Week. All who share an interest in a thoughtful attitude to life are welcome to join us
