Hikers, and um well, Kayakers!
This week is a different event that is equally exciting, we will be kayaking starting from Beaver Dam Primitive Access. If you sign up and do not have a Kayak please reach out to our team to see if we have one for you. Please do not just show up with no plan, or a kayak as we may not have a kayak for you. There are places to rent them if you are interested. We welcome paddle boarders, however the water is likely very cold.
If you came here to hike, regularly scheduled hikes will begin again in one week. This is a break from hiking for the group. to engage other interests.
This is a special event, we are taking one week off of traditional hiking for a Kayak trip. Many of our members have Kayaks and Kayaking experience making this an exciting development for our members.
Please note: If you cannot swim, or have a general fear of water, this is not likely an event that you should attend.
However, if you have any experience, a life jacket and a kayak we welcome you to attend. This event will have a meet and greet, a lunch following the event and great opportunity to see what North Carolina has to offer on the lake.
