## Blue Jay Point / Falls Lake Trail – 7 Miles
Join us for approximately 7 miles on the Mountains-to-Sea Trail around Blue Jay Point and Falls Lake.
We will start from the Falls Lake Trail Section 6 parking area on Six Forks Road, allowing us to get on the trail before Blue Jay Point County Park opens.
This section of the MST follows the wooded shoreline around Blue Jay Point with rolling terrain, lake views and several short side trails leading toward the water. We’ll follow the white-blazed Mountains-to-Sea Trail, adding a short lake-view spur to bring the hike to approximately 7 miles round trip.
Distance: Approximately 7 miles
Difficulty: Moderate
Terrain: Natural-surface wooded trail with roots, rocks and rolling hills
Pace: Steady group hiking pace

The meeting area is the roadside parking/pull-off on Six Forks Road immediately after the causeway over Lower Barton Creek. This is NOT the main Blue Jay Point County Park parking lot - The park is closed until 8:00 AM..
We will meet at the trailhead by the parked cars and depart together.
Please arrive early enough to be ready to hike at the posted start time 7:30AM. Bring water and appropriate trail shoes.
